Posts: 23 02/02/09 09:54	Cibecue takes out Pima at home in an huge upset 66-55, on 1/31. Cibecue seems to be gelling at the right time, but I don't think they'll be as tough outside of their hometown. I try not to make excuses for losses, but the game between the Fort and Cibecue was really poorly officiated in favor of the home team. The Apaches were called for almost 20 fouls including 2 technicals while the home team was whistled for only 8 or 9. I'm not sure if it was the same case for Pima, but if you compare Cibecue's scores at Fort Thomas and at Pima the difference is huge. At the Fort, Cibecue was blown out by 26 and in Pima by 16.

Posts: 9 02/03/09 08:10	Machine, I am not going to make any excuses for our loss in Cibecue, they flat out beat us. Pima didn't play particually bad, Cibecue played extremely good! Everything they shot went in, they hustled, they scrapped, they ran the floor, on that night they were one of the best teams we've played all year, honestly. We played them the week before at our place and they were never in the game, in fact we put our second string in in the fourth quarter with at least a 20 pt. lead. They are not the same team at home! After beating Ft. Thomas and Pima, they are playing with a great deal of confidence and should shake things up at East regionals. If Pima beats Bowie/San Simon tonight they will automatically be the #1 seed at regionals next week, Ft. Thomas, Cibecue, and Duncan are going to battle it out for that second spot.
